My Work Experience

Thornton Tomasetti (Co-op, Summer - Fall 2019)

My most recent co-op was at Thornton Tomasetti. I worked on various projects within the construction industry. I analyzed architectural and mechanical drawings of a building to calculate cooling loads required by the AC unit. I also looked over reports by other construction consulting companies to identify inconsistencies that were used in a rebuttal report. I also had the opportunity of writing a cost-benefit analysis report for a new laser scanner meant for more accurate slab analysis of a building, leading to the purchase of that new laser scanner.

BP America (Co-op, Fall 2018)

At BP, I worked as a Supply Chain Co-op at their Project Management Office. The company at the time was switching to a new supply chain software, SAS, for my job was data analysis and presentation of our daily internal and third-party manufacturing performances to the leadership team. I also managed a project for a manufacturing process change leading to $0.5 million in material savings.

GE Aviation (Co-op, Spring 2018

I worked on the CFM56 engine line at GE. I was on the engine services team, working on reducing the cost of engine repairs. My work was data analysis of engine repairs and identifying where costs can be reduced. I also communicated with customers regarding engine shipments of new engines and how the negative effects of delays can be mitigated.

Trader Joe's

I worked at Trader Joe's during college part-time to pay for school. I provided excellent and active customer service. I was also the section leader for the Nuts & Dried Fruit section of the store, handling all orders of product for the section as well as deciding how to present the products.
